One of the ways in which we - artists, designers, and craftspersons - can help to ensure the longevity of that which we believe in and practice is educating our youth. Will each of them go on to pursue a career in a creative field? I hope so. At the very least, though, I hope that they begin to question quality in their everyday interactions, and notice potential moments for personal expression, along with seeking out the means to do so. Perhaps that is a bit to get from a three-hour workshop...but it can't hurt to try.
