When I was at the CAA conference a few weeks ago, I also went to the Dallas Museum of Art and fell in love with Tom Friedman's big blue man...sorry, Tom...I can't remember the actual name of the piece. But more importantly to me was part of his statement on the wall...

"I think there's this misconception that playful thinking is not serious and it's not important."

I this is a statement that all artists should repeat to themselves and ponder.
