I spent a bit of yesterday and today constructing the newest edition of studio furniture to the metals dept... an instructor demo bench...re-used solid maple top, too. This is the 4th homemade bench design I've done over the years and I have to say I'm really enjoying the open-ness (I'm sure that's not a real word). It's the cadillac of the studio! I'll finish with sanding, staining and urethane this weekend but done just in time for this week's classes.
