As I've begun to settle into my surroundings, finally, I've started taking in attractions in the Houston and Austin area. One particular weekend I traveled to visit the National Museum of Funeral History, located in Houston, TX. This was definitely an interesting collection of objects, ranging from animal shaped Ghanian coffins, to vintage hearses, to mourning jewelry made from the hair of loved ones, to the recreated installation of early embalming set-ups.
