DID I MENTION I LOVE MAKING MECHANICAL OBJECTS?
martini agitator
Woohoo!! I just finished a new mechanical piece for the Art of the Martini 8 exhibition hosted by Zaruba & Zaruba Custom Goldsmith, in Frederick, MD. It's constructed with aluminum, brass and wood, with paint and lacquer finish. This may only be of interest to the metalsmiths of this world, but the entire piece is completely cold-connected; no soldering. The premise of the event is that they send participating artists a stainless steel martini glass, we, as the artist do our thing to transform the object and finally, send it back for a great exhibition. What could be better (besides attend the opening, while enjoying a martini)? Below is also a video that gives a better idea of just how the device works (minus an olive).
